NQhost introduces latest Xen VPS Hosting.

In their constant efforts to provide webhosting services throughout America and Europe, NQhost now offers the latest Xen VPS Hosting plans. As one of the first few companies in the world to offer fully-scalable Xen-based VPS solution, it has brought web hosting services to a whole new level and extended the list of its services.

NQhost offers this new virtualization technology to clients who are looking for alternatives to a dedicated or traditional shared server. VPS or virtual private server technology allows a single server to be partitioned into several sections that can simultaneously function independently. This type of virtualization works similar to a dedicated server which allows clients full control over the operating system, but at a more affordable price. It even allows clients the freedom to choose from a variety of operating systems.

The introduction of unmetered Xen VPS in their roster of web hosting services will give NQhost clients additional choices to suit their needs. The Xen VPS provides users scalability, 24/7 website availability and high performance. Each machine on the Xen VPS is fairly allotted with a guaranteed portion of the server’s resources including disk space, RAM and CPU speed, along with a virtual firewall for maximum security. Each Xen VPS is also provided with a router to allow creation of a virtual cluster or network of virtual private servers. All these benefits are offered by NQhost at affordable rates, with packages available from as low as $15 per month.

Xen VPS is a good option for medium-sized online businesses working with a limited budget with high information exchange and bandwidth requirement. “We are pleased to offer Xen to our clients the latest in web hosting technology,” says NQhost CEO. “This latest addition will surely allow us to expand out web hosting services that our clients will not have to look for anything else.” For more information on Xen VPS and NQhost’s roster of web hosting services, you can visit NQhost website.

Spirent Offers Industry’s 1st Holistic Cloud Computing Testing Methodology.

Spirent Communications today announced the industry’s first holistic test methodology to validate the performance, availability, security and scalability (PASS) of cloud computing. The Spirent PASS methodology includes both physical and virtual appliances specifically designed to test services and infrastructure between any points in the cloud environment.

“In an IDC survey, more than 80 percent of enterprises cite security, availability and performance as challenges of the cloud computing model,” said Lucinda Borovick, vice president of Enterprise Communications Infrastructure, IDC. “This is not surprising because failure of any one of these attributes can account for millions of dollars in lost opportunity costs. Spirent’s cloud computing testing approach enables CIOs to have the network visibility required to ensure the quality of experience as well as validating the use of this new computing environment.”

Spirent’s cloud computing testing methodology validates the Quality of Service (QoS) of cloud infrastructures as well as the Quality of Experience (QoE) across cloud services. Spirent leverages market leading test solutions that are built on the integrated Spirent TestCenter(TM) platform allowing enterprises and service providers to test PASS.

“Spirent continues to lead the way in developing test methodologies that put emerging technologies and their promises to the test,” said Tim Jefferson, general manager networks and applications Group at Spirent Communications. “Our PASS testing approach is an extension of our converged data center and virtualization test solutions. Testing is how CIOs will truly realize the promise of cloud computing.”

Spirent’s holistic cloud computing testing solutions will be on display during Interop 2010 in Las Vegas at Spirent Booth #2031. To learn more about cloud computing testing visit: www.spirent.com/cloudtesting.

CloudShare announces to provides ‘the missing link’ for companies.

CloudShare today announced FastUpload™, a new feature that provides ‘the missing link’ for companies looking to quickly and easily move virtual machines (VMs), unchanged, to the Cloud. With CloudShare FastUpload, users can upload existing in-house VMware-based virtual IT environments and make them available as a Cloud-based service, in as little as 15 minutes.

“CloudShare provides the fastest, cleanest way I’ve seen to get VMware VMs into the Cloud, without needing expensive equipment or a lengthy process on the back end. I was literally up and running with full remote access in minutes,” said David Q Ta, Senior Linux Administrator at Riverbed Technology and former member of VMware’s Engineering team. “CloudShare’s FastUpload is the antidote for anyone suffering Cloud Migration headaches — it completely removes one of the fundamental roadblocks to keeping infrastructure in the Cloud, namely, the ability to work offline.”

While Cloud Computing continues to dominate much of the IT-related conversations taking place today, even the most sophisticated IT users are still trying to determine how to make the transition from local physical or virtual environments into the Cloud. The idea of having to re-architect systems, rewrite code, or manage delays typically associated with FedExing storage media to cloud providers generates a high level of skepticism among IT staff, not to mention significantly increasing expenses and security risks.

CloudShare alleviates such concerns by providing a way for users to extend access to — or simply move — their virtual infrastructure, from the Enterprise to the Cloud, with the same ease of use as WebEx but on a platform robust and secure enough to support companies like Cisco, VMware, SAP and McAfee.

“‘How do I move my existing applications?’ is often the first question asked by organizations adopting Cloud Computing environments,” said Paul Burns, President of Neovise, an IT industry analyst firm focused on Cloud Computing. “There are a number of approaches which can involve the adoption of new processes; such demand significant investments of time and money. CloudShare FastUpload avoids all that so IT can more quickly start reaping the benefits that brought them to the Cloud in the first place.”

CloudShare’s technology is already in use by Fortune 500 software sales engineers, IT professionals and enterprise teams for sales demos, POCs, and training. Since the launch of CloudShare Pro, in February 2010, over one thousand sales, IT, training, and other business users have adopted CloudShare Pro, creating over several thousand hands-on IT environments and generating over ten thousand VM demo hours.

“With FastUpload, CloudShare continues to make the Cloud accessible, opening up a new and innovative way for tech support, remote employees, developers, and other individual users to upsynch and share their existing Virtual Machines,” said Zvi Guterman, CEO of CloudShare. “Complementary to hosting services like VMforce, CloudShare FastUpload represents the easiest, fastest onramp for companies to get into Cloud. Think ‘Star Trek Teleporter meets IT Infrastructure.’”

For more information and to use CloudShare FastUpload, please visit http://cloudshare.com/pro and register for the free CloudShare Pro product.

Cisco, VMware, SAP, and other technology leaders have adopted CloudShare to extend access to their virtual infrastructure from the enterprise to the cloud.
