Servoy and PINS provides combined Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering.

Servoy, a leader in hybrid platform development, is teaming with PINS,  a leading provider in delivering online business solutions to SMBs, including web hosting, application hosting and Software as a Service (SaaS) to provide a combined Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering.

The PaaS offering is a single stack that covers the full line of technology that any ISV needs to publish products as SaaS. The stack covers everything from development to infrastructure and allows ISVs to greatly reduce complexity of their SaaS environments.

PINS manages the infrastructure part of the offering – the core of this combined cloud computing offering. ISVs can also successfully offer their SaaS applications by using PINS HyperGrid™. PINS HyperGrid™, based on VMware, is a hosting platform in the real meaning of the term ‘on demand’. It meets the highest demands that are made these days with regard to availability, connectivity, security and scalable infrastructure. Customers of PINS are amongst others Alfa Romeo, Coca-Cola, Corus and Fitness First.

“With our new cloud computing platform, we’ve made it both easy and cost-effective for ISVs to scale from a few to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users,” said, Jan Willem des Tombe, CEO, PINS. “ISVs don’t need to invest in hardware, bandwidth, hosting facilities or even the management of the servers. We take care of everything.”

Servoy provides the development and deployment stack, ranging from the actual development tools to the application server and database connectivity.  said Jan Aleman, CEO, Servoy. “The PINS infrastructure has been tested by our team and provides the optimal cloud platform for Servoy-based technology.”

Both public and private clouds are available and both are hosted in the secure environment of PINS.

“With this unified offering, we no longer need to endure the tedious process of selecting and managing a hosting partner,” said Harold Timmer, Newbase.  “The SaaS model allows us to easily take applications global.”

Added Marc Huizer, CEO, Ayton: “The cost is typically lower than other offerings on the market today with an on-demand infrastructure allowing us to scale up as necessary. With the integrated stack, we can move from development to production with just  a few clicks, and new versions of applications can be put in production with a single button click.”

Servoy is a platform to help build and deploy applications much faster than traditional development environments. As a hybrid platform, applications can be deployed both in the new SaaS model, as well as in the classic on premises model from the same code base. Servoy recently introduced real-time load balancing and clustering in its fifth release – Servoy 5.0. This allows ISVs to scale up and down – depending on load – without bringing their application down.

About PINS
Founded in 1996, PINS today is a leading Hosting and Managed Services Provider in the Benelux market. With an installed base of more than 16.000 customers PINS specializes in web- and application hosting with core competencies on connectivity, security, uptime and scalability. PINS successfully implements SaaS enablement strategies for ISV’s using its HyperGrid cloud-computing platform, a true on demand hosting infrastructure built around uptime, connectivity, security and platform scalability. PINS customers include Alfa Romeo, Coca-Cola, Corus, Fitness First, Dutch Railways and transavia.com. For more information please check www.pins.nl.
